Lawrence S. Ting School, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — July 2014 - June 2016
  • Taught 6th and 7th grade immersion-style ESOL, designed and implemented lessons, collaborated with schools around the world through the Global Partners Junior program (gpjunior.tiged.org), and Saigon South International School on some art projects, and many other tasks

  • Designed and taught a "French through cooking" unit in which TAG (Talented And Gifted) students learned French while cooking recipes from 6 Francophone regions of the world in a language immersion environment

  • Designed a unit on food and cooking in France for students to be exposed to the French culture while being immersed in the language, and a unit of group projects on French around the world for students to learn about as many French speaking countries as possible and be exposed to different dialects of French

Teaching Practicum in IB History in French Immersion
  • Designed and taught a unit on India from antiquity to decolonization so students understood the diversity of cultures that influence today's India. Organized skype a conversation with a Hindu temple in France so that students practiced French with someone outside of school and realized the evolution of Hinduism today

  • Helped organize a USA day on social entrepreneurship at EDHEC by orienting guest speakers and the visiting students of the American School of Paris, and by encouraging questions during the conference
  • Helped with the logistics of a conference on Obama's presidency with the Chamber of Commerce of Lille

  • Taught English in a summer school to give students basic communication skills in English
  • Animated game sessions to entertain the village kids in the afternoon
  • Held a conference on STDs to make villagers aware of the risks and of how to avoid them
